http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=617640 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=617640#c0 Summary: Wireless unable to connect with Atheros 2413 card Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: RC 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rodschaffter@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Blocker: --- I'm using a Belkin ME1002-NB card which YaST shows as an AP 2413, using the ath5k driver. This card works under 11.2. When I connect using knetworkmanager it finds the access point and seems to connect as expected, but stops at Setting Network Address. The connection uses WPA encryption-I don't have easy access to an unencrypted network. I'm cutting and pasting the key from a flash drive as I usually do. I tried another identical card with the same result. This could be an upstream issue, as I have the same issue with Mepis 8.5 Linux. In Mepis, the card doesn't work with the ath5 driver, but will connect with MadWiFi. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
