http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=601832 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=601832#c0 Summary: [SMBTA] clients: file, user and share operations must run on distinct querys Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Samba AssignedTo: hhetter@novell.com ReportedBy: hhetter@novell.com QAContact: samba-maintainers@SuSE.de CC: mhaefner@novell.com, bbrunner@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- This is what we already covered in out first meeting. On users, we must check the SID to run the query for the right user. On files, we must check for the share to run the query for the right file. On shares, we must check the domain to run the query for the right user. Otherwise, for example - with the smbtatorture test case - a file would be found twice in the same path on two shares. And a total rw report would report false values. Two possible ways, and we should implement both of them: - make the interpreter be able to parse a user-SID, files-share, share-domain command. Like: 'l.tar.bz2@/pool1' or '/pool1@SEIZEWELL' - let the interpreter ask the user interactivly if the query is not discinct, like: "I've found two different files with the name 'l.tar.bz2' (1) on /pool1 (2) on /pool2 Which file do you mean? Use the latter only if the user hasn't given the share with the filename in the query. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
