http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=601773 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=601773#c0 Summary: Install fails to use entire display area. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Milestone 6 Platform: PC OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: malv_star@hotmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 SUSE/3.6.3-1.1 Firefox/3.6.3 Booting from the installation DVD causes the system to detect and use only a small portion of the available screen space. The install prompts are squashed into the top left corner of the screen, and the sidebar and title area are missing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot from install DVD 2. Wait for EDD detection to be called. Actual Results: During detection, the image on screen changes such that the install GUI is displayed in a much smaller-than-usual area. The side bar is missing, as is the title bar. This changes back to normal after the first reboot when the correct video drivers are loaded. Expected Results: The entire screen is used during install. This system is using an Geforce 7100GS graphics card. I can supply additional info if required (or a picture of the actual monitor), but the problem appears to occur every time, so should be easy to test and reproduce. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
