Summary: tiff2pdf generated pdfs which display wrong colors
with xpdf/ghostview
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.1
Version: Final
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Other
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: kdevel@xxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx
Found By: ---
Blocker: ---
User-Agent:
xpdf, kpdf and kghostview display wrong colors on tiff2pdf generated PDFs.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load colors.tiff from
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tiff/+bug/194295
2. tiff2pdf -n -j colors.tiff > 1.pdf
3. xpdf 1.pdf
4. compare output with evince's or okular's output.
Actual Results:
xpdf, kpdf and GS-based viewers display wrong colors,
evince and okular get it right.
Expected Results:
Every viewer should show same colors.
Quoting the reason from the ubuntu side:
"The problem is that tiff2pdf was setting the /ColorTransform field to 0 in
/DecodeParams when it should not have been."
