Summary: GNOME panel in vertical mode freezes with many windows
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.2
Version: Final
Platform: i686
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 - None
Component: GNOME
AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: radomir.cernoch@xxxxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx

Blocker: ---

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US) AppleWebKit/533.3
SUSE/5.0.353.0-1.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/5.0.353.0 Safari/533.3

I am using the Gnome panel aligned to the left side of the screen. If there are
too many windows opened (approx. more than 6) the panel becomes full and in
such moment, it freezes.

In such moment, the panel stops responding and the CPU is 100% occupied by
'gnome-panel' process.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Move the main GNOME panel to left side of the screen.
2. Start a lot of windows
