http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=591142 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=591142#c0 Summary: pulseaudio: USB audio is default output sync but gnome-volume-control-applet doesn't control it after suspend Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bphilips@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: tiwai@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Steps to reproduce ================== 1) Set Output sync for Pulseaudio to USB soundcard/headphones via everything works including volume via gnome-volume-control-applet -> Sound Preferences 2) Suspend or hibernate the machine 3) Start up the machine 4) USB soundcard still seems to be the default sync BUT volume keys and gnome-volume-control-applet seems to control the on board sound card output You can reproduce by pulling the USB card too and plugging back in. The sound will resume as soon as the Kernel inits the driver so pulseaudio seems to be doing almost the right thing, it is just the volume control that doesn't get plumbed in. Running OpenSUSE 11.2 and you can find alsa-info on Bug #590525 Attachment #350068 Workaround: gnome-volume-control-applet -> Sound Preferences -> Set sound output device to USB after resume. Workaround is fine since I only suspend once a day so marking as Minor. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
