Thanks...
I've looked harder.
Subtracting the start of glibc (e.g.7fb5c8642000) from the reported ip address
(e.g. 7fb5c873c088) I get 0xfa088 as an address in glibc.
Running gdb (With the debug info package installed) I find this is in
svc_getreq_common (in sunrpc/svc.c).
In particular, the appears that
xprt = xports[fd]

sets xprt to something that is not NULL, but is also not a valid
address.

I think that to explore this any further we would need a 'core' dump
from statd when it crashes.
If you could edit "/usr/sbin/start-statd" and add the command
ulimit -c unlimited

so that if it happens again it will hopefully leave a core somewhere.

Then let's give it a couple of months. If nothing happens I close
this bug. If it does, maybe we can make progress.
