--- Comment #14 from James PEARSON 2010-02-21 22:30:34 CET ---
My comments concerning your query follow...
No problems at the current time, but it was 'standard procedure' for me at
least at the time 11.2 rolled out (on the 4 or 5 computer where I installed
11.2 for fun and pleasure)
Back then I systematically opened 'Personal Setting (Configure Desktop)' and
clicked on the 'Advanced tab' and then under 'Specify CD device' changed the
device to something like sr0 - I used to do a `ls /dev` first before making
the changes
ex:
old => /dev/cdrom
new => /dev/sr0
Note: This is was not necessary on my last clean install just last week (Sun
Feb 21 22:15:32 CET 2010). The reason for this however might be due to the fact
that I add openSUSE KDE4 Factory Desktop (+ VideoLan and Packman) and do a
'zypper dup' right after a fresh install
790FX:/dev # zypper lr -d
