When I try to use a .wav file for a desktop sound, it plays the first
half-second of the file, then stops.

This has happened in all versions of KDE4 that I can recall.

To test this, open the Configure Desktop tool, go to General (tab),
Notifications, then try test-playing any of the default K3B sounds.

The KDE4 soundsystem plays .ogg files perfectly, but when you select a .wav
file, it has problems.

This happens on a clean install, and even after installing the Packman version
of libxine and the other codecs.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run K3B
2. Select - Settings -> Configure K3B
3. Under Notifications, try to play any of the default sounds.
Actual Results:
Sound plays for approximately ½ second then stops

Expected Results:
Sound should play completely

I use K3B as an example, but this effects the entire KDE4 desktop.
