greetings all,
i am writing about my webcam issues for a while now (ever since upgrading to
11.2, my integrated webcam [gateway usb 2.0 webcam] did not work) ... what i
have not mentioned is the coincidental occurance that whenever i tried to
launch my webcam, my wifi would go bye-bye ... a friend who took a look
suggested to post the following outputs:
fenris@linux-ppog:~> luvcview -f yuv
luvcview version 0.2.1
Video driver: x11
A window manager is available
video /dev/video0

Stop asked
Clean Up done Quit

up to this point the webcam worked ... but as soon as i tried to launch again,
this would happen:

fenris@linux-ppog:~> luvcview -f yuv
luvcview version 0.2.1
Video driver: x11
A window manager is available
video /dev/video0
ERROR opening V4L interface
: Connection timed out

anyone, by chance, knows what's going on ... any help is truly appreciated ...
thanks, theo

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot suse
2.try to launch luvcview or cheese (it either works or not)
3.wifi disconnects, leaving me unable to reconnect
4.some of the other usb ports (like attached external hdd may become unusable
too)
5.after reboot, the wifi works again, but launching a webcam apps repeat the
problem
Actual Results:
no webcam functionality
wifi gets disconnected
eth) still work

Expected Results:
webcam and wifi should work independently at all times upon launch
