log messages including the suspend/resume events

I have a vg on an external disk. If the disk is attached and I do
suspend/resume, always (or often) logical volumes produce I/O errors:

rondo:~ # vgdisplay extvg
/dev/dm-19: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 137438887936: Input/output error
/dev/dm-19: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 137438945280: Input/output error
/dev/dm-19: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 0: Input/output error

/dev/dm-19: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 0: Input/output error
/dev/dm-20: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 25769738240: Input/output error
/dev/dm-20: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 25769795584: Input/output error
/dev/dm-20: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 0: Input/output error
/dev/dm-20: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 4096: Input/output error
..

Of course, the mounted filesystems have zero performance (empty directories and
similar). Looks pretty scary. It seems like the USB device (the disk) gets a
different minor/major numbers. The logs don't show much (attached).

The remedy is to umount, vgchange -an, vgscan, mount.
