After downloading the image from I
burned it to a CD and attempted to boot it. While everything seems to go fine
where there normally is a screen that asks for the keyboard settings there is
now just a black screen.

On the first boot it was actually a pink screen, after that I rebooted an used
'check install media' option, which checked out fine. Then the boot after that
for another installation attempt came up with a black screen.
The cursor does show up and can be moved, the rest of the screen however is
just one color without any buttons.

This is on a Compal laptop with a NVIDIA 9600GT M videocard.

Reproducible: Always
