Dave what I want to say is : if we want bacula support inside opensuse, we have
to propose the same packages as the project offer.
See them here
http://sourceforge.net/projects/bacula/files/#files
There mainly 3 versions of servers : bacula-sqlite, bacula-mysql,
bacula-postgresql.
If we don't have theses, no doubt that people wanting bacula & opensuse would
continue to use rpm coming from bacula.
I understand your pressure and quick path to restore bacula as it was before in
opensuse,I'm just asking if it's the best way to do it.
Building bacula, and testing it is a long path, as the best way is to automated
all the building part + have rpm installing & running the regression suite
tests. That the first part allowing to say : ok it's build, it's install and
doesn't have regression. Step two is to take Bacula admin's envolved and test
rpm in their owns configuration.
I really appreciate your efforts, I would just explain how hard it could be to
make things properly. So a collaboration between you knowing how obs works and
bacula rpms guys, the opensuse admins using bacula could drive us to a nice
leading solution.
Anyway all your efforts are a big + to re-make bacula present in openSUSE.
