The notification plugin for evolution that is supposed to
1.Show notification icon in system tray, and
2.Popup message together with icon
does not work. Neither do I have a system tray icon (using imap account for my
mail services), nor do I get any notifications for new mails in my inbox
although I have configured evolution to check for new mails every 10 mins.
Please note that according to my understanding the notification icon should
remain after I have closed all evolution windows (not quit as in Ctrl-Q, but
close window as in Ctrl-W), since that is what the objective of a notification
plugin is.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Configure evolution to check for mails every X mins and enable the
notification plugin and configure it as desired (Edit -> Plugins -> Mail
notification -> Configure).
2.Close all existing evolution windows (Ctrl-W)
Actual Results:
No notification icon in system tray, no new mail arriving notification.
Expected Results:
System tray icon even after closing all evolution windows, and notifications
when new mails arrive should be visible.
