http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=554035 Summary: Changing default browser to konqueror results in broken functionality Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: RC 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: plewe@lst.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.3; Linux) KHTML/4.3.1 (like Gecko) SUSE After changing the default browser in kcontrol to "konqbrowser" (via the program selection), KDE4 does honor this by opening konqueror whenever asked to open a web page. Unfortunately, the URL it uses is messed up to a local version. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Change the default browser to konqueror 2. alt-F2 gg:Foobar 3. look into the address line (in case you fail to notice the difference in the page) Actual Results: You will get an address line saying something like /var/tmp/kdecache-user/krun/22163.0.search Expected Results: I would expect something like http://www.google.com/search?q=Foobar&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 Same happens when e.g. RMC on a link in akregator -> open in external browser.
From within the opened browser (with the local link) links like "gg:Foobar" work as expected.
