[Bug 552337] LIRC 0.8.5 contains bugs which crash kernel using WinMCE remote

It detects the device, and module load produces no errors, but no remote button is detected. So the current version is pretty much useless in terms of supporting MCE remotes. Yes, I also found /dev/lirc missing but I just set LIRC_DEVICE in /etc/sysconfig/lirc, not a big deal. Recompiling the lirc kernel modules was a much larger problem.
