quisk is a python application that's used for Software Defined Radio (SDR), it
allows using the SDR hardware for receiving and transmission on the amateur
radio bands- Analog-to-Digital-Conversion and Digital-to-Analog-Conversion
being provided by the sound cards.
It uses sound card 0 for radio Microphone and speaker, sound card 1 for input
from the radio for receive and output to the radio for transmit - the radio
hardware and sound cards glued together by the software forms a transceiver.
There are also other Linux programs like linrad and sdr-shell which uses jack
as a patch panel, but quisk is the easiest to get running.
I shall do "rcalsasound restart" when next it happens. Last night it failed
consistently and today it works, without a reboot. It had been working
flawlessly until a week or so ago.

I shall also pass the above crash details on to the developer.
