Klick on the green geeko head, KDE menu opens. Type 'scanner' into the search field. Click 'Configure a scanner' -> YasT2 opens, and a popup appears 'Root Privileges Needed. ... If you continue now, the module may not function properly. ... Clicking 'Continue' indeed causes an error message 'sh: /var/lib/YaST2/scanner_database.ycp: Permission denied' Only other choice is 'cancel'.
