It's not about whether it's a "most used scenario" or not. It's a matter of
disclosure and ethics. I think a user ought to be warned when they say don't
replace my MBR bootloader, and openSUSE does it anyway. Think of it this way,
software vendors are chastized by computer ethicists when they install
additional software that the user doesn't ask for and is unaware of, even if
the software vendor thinks it will help the user.

Yes, most technical users are going to know this, but frankly, I know about MBR
boot loaders, how to manually back them up and restore them, but the option to
"Rewrite MBR with generic code" was so buried in the installation UI that I
never found it until my MBR had already been replaced even though I had
disabled MBR boot installation. I just think the user ought to be informed
before it is replaced anyway, by a "generic code" bootloader or not.
