http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=543835 Summary: Suspend/Hibernate Don't Work... Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 8 Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: juglist@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090909 SUSE/3.5.3-1.3 Firefox/3.5.3 Sorry for the title; couldn't think of a better description. When I try to suspend to RAM or hibernate my laptop, either via the KDE/GNOME shutdown dialogs or via "pm-suspend"/"pm-hibernate", the screen blanks out for a second, then comes back on again, exactly like it was before I tried to suspend. No errors, nothing. What's confusing to me is that I installed M7 when it first came out, and the suspend/hibernate worked like a charm - but at some point (maybe a kernel upgrade?) it started exhibiting the above described behavior. I assumed that the next milestone would take care of it, but it certainly hasn't. I'm not very experienced in suspend/hibernate issues, so if someone could let me know what information would be helpful, I'd appreciate it! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Try to suspend/hibernate the machine (via menu commands or pm-* commands) Actual Results: Screen blanks out for a few seconds, then comes back. No change. Expected Results: Suspend or Hibernate. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
