1. debuginfo packages don't help to improve the backtrace in the Xserver log.
2. The two logs posted show crashes at totally different places. This could be
an indication that something more fundamental is wrong.
3. Christian, why do you have the Xserver installed both for 32bit and 64bit?
If this is a 64bit system, please uninstall the 32bit version.
4. To get a better backtrace (with debuginfo) one needs to use gdb.
I've been using a script like:
#!/bin/sh
GDB=$HOME/gdb
ARGS=$*
cat > .dbgfile << "HERE"
file /usr/bin/Xorg
set args $ARGS
handle SIGUSR1 nostop
handle SIGUSR2 nostop
handle SIGPIPE nostop
run
bt
cont
cont
quit
HERE
$GDB -x .dbgfile &> /tmp/X.dgb.log
which I've linked to /usr/bin/X to do that.
