http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=533609 Summary: XkbSetDetectableAutoRepeat is broken in X.Org Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 6 Platform: All OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jimportal@gmail.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090730 SUSE/3.5.2-2.4 Firefox/3.5.2 This bug is the same as http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22515 and is currently in openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 6. This is a show stopper (for me) and I believe it important enough that 11.2 should not be released with this bug present. One possible solution is to downgrade to an older X.Org (the one in 11.1 works fine) until a fix is implemented upstream. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Call XkbSetDetectableAutorepeat passing True for the second argument. 2. XkbSetDetectableAutorepeat returns True and passes True back with the third argument. This indicates that DetectableAutorepeat mode is both supported and set. See man page for XkbSetDetectableAutorepeat(3). Actual Results: XkbSetDetectableAutorepeat is called with True passed as the second argument and it returns True and passes True back via the third argument. However the call has no effect. When the user presses a key, a KeyRelease event is generated for every KeyPress event while the user has the key pressed. Expected Results: The expected behavior is that, while the user holds a key down, multiple KeyPress events are generated and a KeyRelease event is only generated once when the key is released. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
