With opensuse 11.0 und 11.1 I have got it working.
I will test 11.2 at the next milestone.
It seems to depend on the port,
if /dev/ttyUSB0,1,2,3,4 available the right port is /dev/ttyUSB3.
As already mentioned the handling is not very nice. For the old-versions it is
ok. I can do it as described before. (usb_modeswitch, modprobe option, echo
..)
This is also done, when the software from
https://forge.betavine.net/frs/?group_id=12
is used.
But in 11.2 udev/hal rules should set the modem in the correct mode and
option.ko should loaded automatically.
(some devices provide also an sd-card-reader, not only the "cd-rom")
It sound like a Déjà-vu, because huawei made the same s.. three years ago.
