Ok, I think I can see where there is confusion here. During the s2disk process,
grub is directed to launch directly into the current kernel, skipping the usual
grub menu. That's only veneer. The same kernel boots the same way in either
case until we probe for resume images. If we find one, we use it. If not, we
boot normally. Since the resume images can be distributed across swap devices,
we *must* probe all of them. Otherwise you could end up with a system that is
half resumed.
