http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=528259 Summary: ksysguardd gets reactivated after every update Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: seife@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: security-team@suse.de Found By: Development after every "zypper dup" where kdebase4-workspace-ksysguardd is updated, the ksysguardd initscript is reactivated. I have to manually deactivate it every time. I do not want ksysguardd running. Period. I tried to uninstall it, but then the whole kde4 also is removed, which is also not what i want. a) I do not miss any functionality without ksysguardd, so why can't I uninstall it? b) why does the package ignore my explicit configuration ("insserv -r ksysguardd") on every update? Has this running-by-default service been audited by the security team? And by the "let's boot faster"-team ;-)? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
