My Excel 2007 can definitely not open the file without issues. It first warns
that "The file you are trying to open is in a different format than specified
by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a
trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now? [Yes]
[No] [Help]"
(Silly that it doesn't tell what format it *thinks* that it is then, if it is
going to try to open it anyway.)
If I click "Yes", Excel loads the file, but as far as I can see the spreadsheet
it shows is garbage. Full of stuff like
"A#,##0\ "K
";[Red]\-#,##0\ "K
"C#,##0.00\ "K
";\-#,##0.00\ "K
"M$#,##0.00\ "K
The file might have been corrupted when you uploaded (attached) it to bugzilla.
Did you do the attaching from the Windows machine where the file opens
correctly for you? Or did you first copy the file using some potentially
error-prone method to another machine? What size is the file on the Windows
machine where you can open it successfully? (For me, it is 59 392 bytes.)
What does the file's contents look like for you? (Save it as another copy in
xls format and attach that here, too, and/or take a screenshot and attach that
here.)
