http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=510987 Summary: Missing codepages for FAT filesystem during installation Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: PC OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ashaduri@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.64 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; en) Presto/2.1.1 During installation, the partitioner shows only a handful of codepages under "Codepage for short FAT names" in "Fstab Options" of a FAT-formatted partition. For example, cp866 (quite a common codepage) is missing. The installation kernel is probably built without support of this codepage, because entering it manually aborts the installation at a later stage. The installed kernel has no such limitation - cp866 works, even if not displayed in the partitioner's dropdown list. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start installing openSUSE 11.1. 2. Create a new FAT partition or edit the existing one. 3. Enter fstab options - no cp866 there. Expected Results: The installation kernel should have the same codepages as the installed kernel. The installation partitioner should show all these codepages. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
