May 15 14:03:38 gwdg6 postfix/master[8657]: warning: process /usr/lib/postfix/smtpd pid 9187 exit status 1 May 15 14:03:38 gwdg6 postfix/master[8657]: warning: /usr/lib/postfix/smtpd: bad command startup -- throttling after long searching i found a reference towards postfix/IPv6. Grep on postconf: postconf |grep 2001 mynetworks = 192.168.0.0/24, 192.168.1.0/24, 127.0.0.0/8, 2001:470:1f03:e8b::/64 Modified into: postconf |grep 2001 mynetworks = 192.168.0.0/24, 192.168.1.0/24, 127.0.0.0/8, [2001:470:1f03:e8b::]/64 ==> adding brackets around the ipv6 address <== After restarting postfix, system behaved normally (no more smtpd crashes) Perhaps it's worthwhile checking the /etc/postfix/main.cf config generating tools. Furthermore, i would recommend a separate IPv6 compliancy chapter in the admin manual, mentioning this issue. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
