http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=501425 Summary: Add strong hashes support Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: lvillani@binaryhelix.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=290459) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=290459) Support sha256 hashes User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4) Gecko/20090427 Fedora/3.5-0.20.beta4.fc11 Firefox/3.5b4 sat-solver and/or libzypp should have support for stronger hashes than md5 and sha1. As far as I can see most of the code is already there, the patch attached to this bug report makes sat-solver's rpmmd2solv working with Fedora 11's primary.xml. On the other hand I have to manually generate the solv file using rpmmd2solv because repomdxml2solv (the one actually launched by zypper) fails to create an usable solv file (it doesn't contain resolvables). I still don't know if this is due to the introduction of stronger hashes or not.
