Please test this new version and let me know if this bug is still valid.
The sigabrt still occurs, Tom. Attached is the latest backtrace. Also, just to verify, here is a listing of the suggested packages:

This is openSUSE 11.0 issue. My openSUSE 11.0 bluetooth is running with the bluez-utils 3.32. Bluez 4.19 was introduced with the openSUSE 11.1 . Binary incompatibility is the segfault reason. Generally configuration issues should not cause segfault.
