--- Comment #2 from Axel Köllhofer
Could you please downgrade the rpms and repeat the update with
# rpm -Uvv kernel-{base,,extra}-2.6.27.21-0.1.x86_64.rpm 2>&1 | \ perl -ne 'print time, " ", $_;' | tee rpm-vv.txt
I tried to reconstruct the whole thing (also downgrading all installed kmp-packages) but by directly updating via rpm -Uvh kernel-{base,,extra}-2.6.27.21-0.1.*.rpm I was not able to reproduce the behavior any more. My next idea was, that the problem might be related to the incomplete upgrade I got before using zypper, so I wanted to reproduce that. Unfortunately, the update-test repository seems to have a problem at the moment (I get the same output on i586 and x86_64). zypper ref repo-update-test Retrieving repository 'openSUSE-11.1-Update-test' metadata [done] Building repository 'openSUSE-11.1-Update-test' cache [done] Error building the cache: 'repo2solv.sh' '-o' '/var/cache/zypp/solv/repo-update-test/solv' '/var/cache/zypp/raw/repo-update-test' repo_repomdxml: no element found at line 6:0 Skipping repository 'openSUSE-11.1-Update-test' because of the above error. Could not refresh the repositories because of errors. I will try later with 11.1. BTW, I just completed a dist-upgrade on my factory installation and the kernel-updates went fine this time (including 20 randomly chosen kmp-packages which I installed deliberately to see if they generate the problem). As I am not really sure, if I will be able to reproduce this again, I will set the priority to normal. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
