http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=492283 Summary: "Packages" file in debian repo's is invalid (+fix) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: BuildService AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: niertie1@gmail.com QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032712 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.8 The "Packages" file found in a debian/ubuntu repository generated by OBS is invalid - it only lists just one architecture instead of two. Example: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home://pro-rsoft://Panda3D/xUbuntu... Looking in the bs_publish source, I found this line: qsystem('chdir', $extrep, 'stdout', 'Packages.new', 'dpkg-scanpackages', '.', '/dev/null') && print " apt-ftparchive failed: $?\n"; I noticed dpkg-scanpackages (the tool responsible for generating the Packages file) does not get called with the -m parameter. However, having the -m parameter is essential - otherwise it will only list one architecture.
