Did you run SuSEconfig after changing this? (SuSEconfig modifies the startup files -- just changing the variable does nothing until the next time SuSEconfig is run.) Tnx, that helped. Before edited /etc/sysconfig/mdadm and there was no need is SuSEconfig ;)
