It will be fixed. In answer to the first part..... The presence or not of nfsd really should not affect the service that idmapd provides for nfs. I have looked at the code and can not see any possible interaction. I cannot easily test an 11.1 machine at the moment, but 11.0 doesn't demonstrate this problem, and the idmapd code hasn't changed. I wonder if the interaction with nfsd is a red-herring and that something else is going wrong with-respect-to nfs service. You say it is only "sometimes" that you have a problem, and that would support this view.
