[Bug 467917] Wireless (iwl3945) unable to connect on battery power with NetworkManager

I never seen this with an older release or other distributions. The system this bug occurs on is a Dell Latitude D830. I find it strange that it only occurs after a boot on battery power and that a reload of the iwl3945 resolves the issue. Is there something that could enable powersaving options when loading the module that I should check?
