https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=468873 Summary: Enhancement Request: Add ability to choose "blinky" or "solid" for wireless LED to KNetworkManager Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: jrobiso2@ford.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; F-6.0SP2-20041109; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; InfoPath.2) Per bug report 462967, the default behavior for the wireless LED (at least for the iwl3945, perhaps others) is for it to blink during network traffic. For some of us, this is extremely annoying. The only fix is to edit files deep in the /sys directory. It would be an easy (I think) and beneficial enhancement to add a radio button for "blinky style" or "steady on style" to the KnetworkManager application. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.turn on PC 2.connect to wireless network 3."blink" . . ."blink". . ."blink" -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
