Yes indeed now that you clarify that I also have the Ctrl_R+Shift_L compose
key. However, it results in the same <Multi_key> is undefined error :-(

I also mapped the compose key to different keys, like using -option
compose:ralt (right alt key) or compose:menu etc etc

I talked with some GNU Emacs gurus on IRC and they cannot reproduce my problem,
they said it must be a distribution specific bug. However, you cannot reproduce
this problem either, so I also do not know what is going on.

I'm just a user, so I don't know how to shed more light on this issue, the only
strange thing I can tell about it is that it works in other apps, just not in
GNU Emacs -- and I did not touch the default configuration at all, did a fresh
install and everything.

It's just too weird that noone else on the net seems to have this problem.
