https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=467559 Summary: X hangs with some 3D apps on an intel 965GM card Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: RC 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: ricardo.berlasso@gmail.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=266184) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=266184) Xorg log file User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; es-ES; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-1.1 Firefox/3.0.5 Tested on kde 4.1.3 and 3.5.10. Hardware: Toshiba Satellite P200-17D with intel 965GM integrated graphics. Some 3D apps, like celestia, supertuxkart or glaxium works for some seconds and then the whole desktop freeze. Mouse is responsive, but num lock or caps lock are not. This happens with and without kde4 composite. Other apps, like foobillard or marble (or the desktop effects!) work without problems. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start celestia, supertuxkart or glaxium. After some seconds the X freeze. Actual Results: After the start of those apps, they works for some seconds and then the whole desktop freeze. Mouse is responsive, but num lock or caps lock are not. I need to restart the system with alt+sysrq+r+e+i+s+u+b. This happens with and without kde4 composite. Expected Results: Those apps should work. looking at /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old (attached) I find the following phrase repeated many times: [mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop. [mi] mieqEnequeue: out-of-order valuator event; dropping. A 3D game called "neverputt" works without problems without kde4 compositing enabled, but when compositing is on the graphics lost their textures. It seems that 3D apps are affected in different ways. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
