--- Comment #61 from Rainer Klier
unfortunately I can confirm this: bluez-3 repo from comment 50 added, repo from comment 57 added and installed, I see a kdebluetooth icon in the menu, but it does not start. Is this due to the fact that I still run KDE 3.5.10 only?
axel@z60m:~> rpm -qa | grep blue bluez-4.19-1.5 kdebluetooth-1.0_beta8-173.1 libbluetooth3-4.19-1.5 pulseaudio-module-bluetooth-0.9.12-9.6 kdebluetooth-lang-1.0_beta8-171.51 kdebluetooth4-0.3-2.1 axel@z60m:~>
you have installed wrong (=not kde3-compatible) bluez. for kde 3.5 only you do not need to use repo from comment 57. repo from comment 50 ("enzokiel") fixes problems with kde 3.5 because the bluetooth packages from this repo are based on bluez-libs 3. so for kde 3.5 you should use ONLY the bluetooth packages from this "enzokiel" repo. rpm -qa | grep -i blue bluez-hidd-3.36-26.1 kdebluetooth-lang-1.0_beta8-173.1 kdebluetooth-1.0_beta8-173.1 libbluetooth-devel-3.36-8.1 bluez-utils-3.36-26.1 bluez-test-3.36-26.1 libbluetooth2-3.36-8.1 bluez-audio-3.36-26.1 as it seems, the changes from tom patzig explained in comment 57 are for kde4 ONLY! so kde4 will propably work now with bluetooth 4.xx libs (bluez4). BUT NOT kde3. :-( as for now, kde3 users need to stay with the "workaround" backport-fixes from the repo from "enzokiel". -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
