https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=465906 Summary: Under heavy load, single keystroke types several letters Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: radomir.cernoch@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; fr; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-1.1 Firefox/3.0.5 Under 100% load, when two or more tasks are competing for the processor, a single stroke on the keyboard causes more letters to be typed on the screen. Moreover the mouse cursor tends to be much slower. Using ThinkPad T42 with a 1.5GHz processor. I am quite sure that similar situations were handled well on openSUSE 10.3. This bug is quite annoying, because it's almost impossible to use the computer (bash does not understand me when writing "kkkkilllaaallllll" instead of "killall" :-) Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use a computer old and slow enough. 2. Install openSUSE 11.1 with default configuration. 3. Start multiple tasks (more instances of gcc work always) 4. Type "Hello" on the keyboard.
