https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=465213 Summary: page setup doesn't persist (gnome print dialogs) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: RC 1 Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: wolfgang@rosenauer.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-2.5 Firefox/3.0.5 Build Identifier: I've noticed the following when I tried to print a photo on a 4x6 inch card with gimp but it's most probably true for any application using gtk's printer dialogs. Entering File -> Page Setup show by default Format for: "Any printer". As this Any printer doesn't preconfigure the 4x6 size I switched to my HP OfficeJet printer which is correctly set up in cups. Afterwards I can choose "Photo or 4x6 inch index card" from the paper size dropdown. Shows the right paper size for the chosen format. Everything's fine -> Apply Now File -> Print -> Image Settings. The sheet looks weird (can't be the right size). Cancel -> back to File -> Page Setup Now it displays "Any Printer" "Photo or 4x6 inch index card" "1.41 x 2.12 inch" -> WTF It seems I can't choose any format for my set up printer but just some default values configured for "Any Printer".
