Summary: Mounting encrypted file system on USB HDD fails
Product: openSUSE 11.1
Version: Final
Platform: i586
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Security
AssignedTo: security-team@xxxxxxx

cryptsetup luksDump /dev/sdc2
LUKS header information for /dev/sdc2

Version: 1
Cipher name: aes
Cipher mode: cbc-essiv:sha256
Hash spec: sha1
Payload offset: 2056
MK bits: 256

When I plug my USB HDD in, I DO get a popup window asking for the passphrase.
Nevertheless, afterwards an error pops up telling me that "the file or folder
file:// doesn't exist"

If I mount the device manually, everything works:

cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sdc2 sdc2
Enter LUKS passphrase:

Afterwards, I can access my data.
