Summary: Software Manager opens http links in the wrong Firefox
profile (also no respect for GNOME's preferred
applications)
Product: openSUSE 11.1
Version: Final
Platform: All
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: YaST2
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: dcabrilo@xxxxxxxxx
QAContact: jsrain@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: ---

When clicking on an http link in YaST's Software Manager description field, the
link was opened in a new instance of Firefox (my prefered application in GNOME
says it should open in a new tab of the existing instance instead), and using
blank (default) profile of Firefox.

When I say "blank profile", I mean it was a profile of Firefox that had none of
my settings (i.e. no bookmarks, no saved preferences) and I got the "Know your
rights" information as if it were started for the first time.

So, it was as if it was started with:

firefox -no-remote -P <newprofile> http://audacity.sourceforge.net

(or something like that).

Steps to reproduce:
1) In YaST's Software Manager, search for some package with a defined website
in description (e.g. audacity)
2) Select the package.
3) In the description field, where it says:
Website: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
click on the URL (http://audacity.sourceforge.net).

Actual Results:
The link will be opened in a new instance with a "blank" profile of Firefox.

Expected Results:
The link should open according to DE's Preferred Application setting, or at
least in an existing profile.
