I recently tried upgrading some of my computers to OpenSUSE 11.1. However, one
problem I experienced is that systems running OpenSUSE 11.0 cannot access a
system running OpenSUSE 11.1, using XDMCP. After logging on to the remote
system, the screen goes black, except for the mouse cursor. The keyboard is
also locked. It is possible to connect to the system, with the locked console,
by ssh or XDMCP, so the CPU has not locked up, only the keyboard & display.
This issue also occurred with the upgrade to 11.0. Why should XDMCP be
sensitive to OpenSUSE versions? Also, I can connect using Xming on XP, so the
problem is something unique to OpenSUSE.
