https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=445879 Summary: Too much information displayed duringsetup Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta 5 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: romain.pelissier@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- When you installed the OpenSuse Linux, at some point there are 3 parts that display exactly the same information: At the top - Numbeer of packages to installed and remaining - From which repository/source and the number and size of the items At the middle - RPM actually installed in a list At the bottom - 1 progress bar that display the current download percentage of the RPM - 1 progress to display the overhaul installation progress. I think that this could be improve a lot to diplay only some infornation that the user need to see: - the 2 progress bars - RPM actually installed (not the list but just the one actually installed) - Below the progress bar maybe some information about the number of repository and the total of package to install. If you want you still can place the actual screen in a tab.
