Firefox 3 regularly. I guess I updated Firefox at some point and broke it. As it stands now, then menus and bookmark folders (on the toolbar) in Firefox do not respond to clicks. And the address bar is missing. However, I can click on links on the home page, and they work.
Strange symptom.

Definitely bad but can be cause by anything.
If I launch Firefox from a terminal I receive the following messages:
<code> michael@widgette:~> firefox -safe-mode LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /usr/lib64/firefox/plugins/libnu llplugin.so [libxpcom_core.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]
This is odd! You are not supposed to have /usr/lib64/firefox/plugins/libnullplugin.so at all and it seems to depend on a file which you are not supposed to have too.
On my forum thread, I hypothesized that there must be a conflict between the shared libraries on my system and the libraries used on the Build Service.
Don't think so. The buildservice package is correctly built against 10.3 if you've chosen the right repo what I think you did. Ok, given the information above you have definitely leftovers from a previous Firefox install on your system which are most probably the reason why Firefox fails for you. It's very hard to guess why that happened in the first place but to clean up that I'd suggest to - remove all Firefox packages MozillaFirefox, MozillaFirefox-translations, MozillaFirefox-branding-openSUSE - remove all xulrunner190 packages mozilla-xulrunner190 mozilla-xulrunner190-gnomevfs mozilla-xulrunner190-translations mozilla-xulrunner190-32bit (if installed) mozilla-xulrunner190-translations-32bit (if installed) mozilla-xulrunner190-gnomevfs-32bit (if installed) - make sure that /usr/lib64/firefox doesn't exist anymore - make sure that /usr/lib64/xulrunner-1.9* doesn't exist anymore - zypper in MozillaFirefox again (the rest should be installed automatically) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
