This would satisfy the dependencies for packages such as kile and the like. But the more I think about it it would seem simpler *and* better to entirely remove the TeXLive dependencies from any of those packages and instead pop up some interactive note to the user that it is necessary to manually install a LaTeX distribution in order to be able to work away. This could be the older TeXlive 2007 which is included as RPM on the installation media or the officical 2008 edition with its own installer.
