--- Comment #22 from Dr. Werner Fink 2008-10-09 04:25:01 MDT ---
The numbers 115292149 and 1844674400165 are extremly large
Please write a small program named clock.c like this
#include
#include
#include
int main()
{
struct timespec res;
double resolution;
printf("UserHZ %ld\n", sysconf(_SC_CLK_TCK));
clock_getres(CLOCK_REALTIME, &res);
resolution = res.tv_sec + (((double)res.tv_nsec)/1.0e9);
printf("SystemHZ %ld\n", (unsigned long)(1/resolution + 0.5));
return 0;
}
run
gcc -O2 -o clock clock.c -lrt
./clock
and report the output. Simply to see which Hertz we have in user
and kernel space. Maybe some of the process are listed stats with
the ticks in kernel space resolution????
