Hmm, a liveCD/DVD iso wasn't meant to be turned into a USB stick live system.
The kiwi boot process for a live ISO expects a CD/DVD drive. With kiwi
we support both live CD/DVDs and live USB sticks but they are single image
types
usb</type>
iso</type>
one image description can have both types in it and you can create both
image types from one prepared tree:
prepare -> create -> liveiso
create -> liveusb
a live stick also is a writable medium and contains a filesystem which needs
to be adapted to the full size on boot or on deployment. An iso filesystem
is read-only and can store data only temporary. A one by one mapping seems
not useful to me which is also one reason for two different image types
here
We also have multiple different filesystem modes supported with livesticks
and liveiso's. You can have a compressed root for both image types which
means a completely different partition table for an USB stick which also
doesn't exist at all for a CD/DVD where we map that as a tmpfs
I'm sorry but I will not hack the iso boot process for that scenario
