https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=432410 Summary: Thinkpad r50e crashes after about 40 minuts of using: black screen==>hard reboot needed Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: splitsch@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Hello ! Whenever I use my thinkpad r50e, it crashes after between 20 minutes and 2hours of use. When it happens, the screen goes black, the keyboard is unresponsive, I can't kill X or anything. ram and HD are not doing anything. The only way to reboot is to take of the battery or pressing the "on/off" button for a few seconds. I made a memory test, for 1 cycle, wich came negative: nothing is broken. I do nothing special, I use a fully updated opensuse 11.0, uses standard repos. Here is my /var/log/message the minute if crashes: [quote] Oct 5 17:23:14 linux-b3if dhclient: caught deadly SIGTERM Oct 5 17:23:14 linux-b3if dhclient: could not restore resolv.conf: No such file or directory Oct 5 17:23:14 linux-b3if avahi-daemon[2336]: Withdrawing address record for 192.168.2.3 on eth1.
